David A. Steinberg has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, primarily by working with the real estate, construction, retail, manufacturing, professional services and automotive industries.   His practice is focused in the areas of financial accounting and auditing.

Mr. Steinberg received his Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with high honors from the University of Florida in 1986 and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from UF a year later.  He began his professional career at a multinational accounting firm in South Florida where he became a senior manager before joining GPR in 1997.

Since joining Gerson Preston, Mr. Steinberg has continued to focus his practice on the management of financial audit, review and compilation engagements in various industries.  Mr. Steinberg often provides advice to clients in technical and complex accounting matters as well as design of significant processes and internal controls to reduce risk.

He works closely with Partner Steven Klein in managing the firm’s audit and financial reporting practice.  He also coordinates the firm’s annual monitoring and peer review processes.

Mr. Steinberg is a dedicated, hard-working individual.  This has enabled him to establish a fine reputation for excellence and reliability with his clients.  In addition to serving clients, Mr. Steinberg has helped develop firm personnel by providing active coaching and learning opportunities and assessing development points for each individual and working with them to enhance necessary skills.

Mr. Steinberg is a member of both the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and is involved with several charitable and civic organizations.   He and his wife, Linda, have two children.
