Richard C. Preston brings more than 49 years of experience and achievement to Gerson Preston. Mr Preston joined the firm and embarked on his career concentrating in the areas of taxation, accounting and auditing after receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey in 1970. Mr Preston became a name partner in 1976. He spearheaded the firm’s expansion in the areas of real estate development, healthcare, retail and aviation.

Mr Preston also counselled numerous clients through the strategic planning of investments in coordination with their tax objectives. Mr Preston continues to focus on the areas of taxation, accounting and auditing in healthcare, real estate, manufacturing and retail. His responsibilities encompass compilation and review engagements, assisting clients with budgeting tax planning and forecasting as well as structuring complex mergers and acquisitions.

Mr. Preston actively participates in charitable and civic organizations including the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and the Mount Sinai Medical Center Foundation. He is a member of both the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. He and his wife, Jill, have two children.
