Roger Jimenez, Information Technology (IT) Director at Gerson Preston, is a seasoned Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) with two decades of experience across various technical domains including web development, system architecture, security engineering, governance, risk and compliance (GRC), project management, and litigation support.
Before joining Gerson Preston, Roger served as a law firm IT director, leading e-discovery initiatives and providing expertise to trial teams.
He also developed security programs through all stages of the cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model and authored various security policies.

Master’s degrees in information technology with a focus on security and in telecommunications and networking.

History & Education
As an undergraduate, he developed a practice management web app for a prominent South Florida law firm, which continues to support billing, invoicing, and internal information management after over a decade of use.
Roger has also participated in multiple regular cybersecurity audits based on ISO 27001 and NIST800-series frameworks by Fortune 100 organizations and has hosted Florida Bar-accredited CLE seminars on information security and privacy.
Roger earned master’s degrees in information technology with a focus on security and in telecommunications and networking from Florida International University.
He also holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the same institution.
Additionally, Roger is actively involved in the Upsilon Pi Epsilon honor society, (ISC)², and the IEEE.
