Could on-site childcare become more attractive for businesses under President-elect Trump? On his website, Trump proposed during the campaign to increase the cap for a business tax credit for on-site childcare from $150,000 to $500,000 per year. And the recapture period for business would be reduced from 10 to five years. The president-elect’s website doesn’t provide any other details about this proposed tax break so stay tuned. In addition to improving this business credit, Trump has proposed new childcare tax breaks for individual taxpayers.
